About the Workshops
These workshops, organized in collaboration with the International Renaissance Foundation, American University Kyiv, Legacy of War Foundation and Veteran Link, put Ukraine’s veterans at the center of reintegration policy and program design. Grounded in years of field research and direct engagement with the veteran community, they bring together institutional stakeholders, civil society actors, and private sector leaders to collaboratively build reintegration strategies that reflect lived experience—not just institutional priorities.
Led by veterans and designed using participatory, trauma-informed methods, this series is both a listening space and a call to action. Participants co-develop concrete, locally grounded action plans to improve reintegration programs and influence national policy frameworks like the Veterans Policy Strategy 2030, the Transition System Strategy 2032 and the recently signed bill No. 11007 on the formation of a comprehensive approach to domestic policy in the veteransʼ sphere.
The workshops come after over two years of the Corioli Institute's work in Ukraine and intends to leverage and expand on the insights from our comprehensive 2024 report "Between Frontline and Home Front: Reintegration, Resilience and Participation Strategies for Ukraine's Veterans".
