Since November 2022, we release an original Research Brief on an underappreciated issue pertaining to formerly armed actor (FAA) reintegration or peacebuilding every month. These pieces present novel concepts, frameworks, and policy recommendations emerging from our research, offering the reader concise but impactful insights accompanied by tables and graphically visualized models. So far, the collection covers myriad relevant topics such as environmental peacebuilding, procedural justice, moral injury and stigma among FAAs. The series and related newsletter still run under the name “Trust After Betrayal”, Corioli’s UKRI-funded predecessor project at the London School of Economics and Political Science, which will completely merge with the Institute by January 2025.
